DUUU·VALJacksonville · Florida · Bold New City of the South
An open market of the local, ethical Jacksonville businesses we love — mapped, vouched for, and worth your night.
A project of Jacksonville Incorporated — the partnership between Bill Cook and Jean Jackson Pereira. We hold a portfolio, build software for real estate, and put our city on the map.
Places we love. People we vouch for.
Restaurants, bars, breweries, coffee, books, music — locally owned, community first. Mostly across Riverside, Avondale, and 5 Points, with a few across the bridge. Click a card to fly the map to it.
A partnership built for this city.
Jacksonville Incorporated — we sometimes call it Jax Inc — was formed by Jean Jackson Pereira and Bill Cook to combine their backgrounds on a new project to benefit the city. Bill was born and lives in Jacksonville. Jackson moved here from Brazil.
Jax Inc is a holding company. We back a focused real estate portfolio, build proprietary investment software, sponsor local events, and showcase the businesses that make this city feel like itself.
Honest deals.
Direct communication. Everyone wins — short term and long term — or we don’t do the deal.
Environment first.
Every investment is weighed against its impact on the place we live. The river. The trees. The climate.
Local before national.
We support businesses owned by neighbors. The directory above is the proof.
Bill & Jackson.
Bill Cook
Entrepreneur and consultant with his own startups working with enterprise–level clients, running a wide spread of projects across software, media, and real estate.

“I came to Jacksonville because I believe this city is going to do more great things, and I want to be a part of it.”
Run a local, ethical Jacksonville business? Tell us about it.
We map the businesses we vouch for — locally owned, community–first, and good for the place we live. If that’s you, put your name in. We read every one.
- Locally owned & operated. Real people in Duval, not a franchise HQ in another state.
- Community–first. Fair to your team, your neighbors, and your customers.
- Good for Jacksonville. The river, the trees, the neighborhoods — you leave them better.
We’d love to hear from you.
